My recent visit to the Beaujolais region was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled between Burgundy and Lyon, Beaujolais is a land where history and wine blend beautifully, offering travelers an unforgettable mix of heritage, landscapes, and flavors.
Even though I am originally from Lyon — only about an hour from Beaujolais — I had never really taken the time to explore the region. Sometimes when things are close, you forget to look... What a shame!I finally discovered a region full of welcoming people, proud of their heritage, traditions, and wine culture. Beaujolais completely captured my heart.

Stepping Into History - Castles and Churches in Beaujolais
Traveling through Beaujolais felt like stepping back in time. The region is filled with historic treasures — centuries-old castles, noble residences, and stunning Romanesque and Gothic churches — each whispering stories of the past. Next page are some highlights from my journey:
Château de Bagnols
A magnificent 13th-century castle, perfectly preserved and surrounded by rolling vineyards. I had the honor to attend a special event here, with local artisans and a magical son et lumière (sound and light) show.
